Emma's six month birthday

Here's the cake that Emma wanted for her third birthday. We showed her some options on the internet and she chose this one. It was fun to make and Emma got her first barbie doll out of it. She had to comb all the curls out of her hair and then she took her to sleep with her that night. Every time we asked Emma how old she was she replied, "Um... six months!" We know she knows better but she just likes to be silly.






We found a kitchen set with tons of food and dishes on craigslist. The kids love playing with it.
A few days later we went running down by the lake and there was an air show going on. Here is a big truck Emma liked that is a mock A-10 Warthog (so Dennis says).
At the park William took this little girl out on a date. He behaved in a very gentleman-like manner, but the girl later went bezerk and threw sand at Emma. Whatever, he'll keep on looking for a girl as sweet as his female role models.

Summer Fun!

Hello everybody! We've had a lot of fun together in the past few weeks. The long months of winter waiting have paid off and we've finally been rewarded with a glorious summer. Emma has been leaping for joy and William has been...playing in the mud.

We have spent A LOT of time at different parks. Every Saturday we go for a run as a family with the double stroller. We ran by the lakefront last week and then stopped at a nice park to have a picnic lunch.


Grandma Jensen spent a few days with us and we had lots of fun going to the beach to play...


And to the zoo...


And to the beach again...


And to Strawberry days up in Cedarburg.


We went to a water park one day. We just kind of stood around in the water for a while and then left. The place was packed like sardines and we couldn't really do much more.


One day we went to a pond with the Godfrey's and caught frogs, tadpoles and other fun slimy kid stuff. The kids had a blast. Here Daxton is holding some 4" tadpoles his dad caught.


This is awesome! William has a hard time eating without some sort of distraction on his tray. Usually it is some sort of matchbox car. We seemed to be loosing them (We think Will stashes them in convenient places- like the garbage) so we went to look online for a good deal. We found a set of 140 cars on ebay with 8 minutes left to go. After some excited auctioning we came out on top with 140 cars from 1970's to present for $35. Pretty good deal. Ha! That'll show that wily little Will.
